Patient Specific Implant

It is a custom made implant that has been designed according to the anatomical specification of the individuals.

Indicated in the complex post traumatic maxillofacial defect, congenital deformities, facial defects due to cancer, infection, orthognathic surgery, temporomandibular joint(TMJ) replacement and in certain cases it is combined with vascularized flaps.

It is available in both absorbable and non absorbable forms. Absorbable includes poly-DL-lactide(PDLLA),Poly Lactic Co Glycolic Acid(PLGA), Calcium Phosphate.

Non absorbable includes titanium, polyether, polyether ether ketone, hydroxyapatite. Digital scanning and 3D printing technology have made it possible to create patient-specific implants that fit more precisely and comfortably
